What this covers

This notice covers this website and email sent to Challoop LLC. It does not cover any app. Each app has its own privacy policy, linked from the app and its store listing.

Who is responsible

Challoop LLC is responsible for this website. Write to contact@challoop.com with any privacy question. Postal details are in the legal notice.

When you visit this website

The site is made of static pages served by Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. To deliver a page, your browser has to send a request, which includes your IP address, the address of the page, and technical details such as your browser type and language. Cloudflare, Inc. processes this data to deliver the site and keep it secure.

We have not added analytics, advertising, or tracking pixels. Fonts are served from this site, so loading them involves no other company. This site does not set cookies.

Cloudflare, Inc. describes its role and its handling of this data in its privacy policy. That policy sets no fixed retention period: it says data is kept for as long as is consistent with Cloudflare’s business purposes. It also says data is stored primarily in the United States and the European Economic Area, and that transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK and Swiss counterparts, and standard contractual clauses.

When you ask for a quote

The quote form sends nothing until you press send. Your project description and email address then go to a small Cloudflare Worker, which emails them to us and does not store them. We use them to reply to you and handle them like any other email, as described below.

When you press send, your browser also loads Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that keeps automated messages out. Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical details about your browser to run it. We do not add a cookie banner because nothing here is used to track you.

Project previews and outside links

If you open a project preview, that project’s website loads inside this page. Nothing loads until you open it. That website then receives your request, including your IP address, and its own privacy terms apply.

Links to social networks and messaging apps take you to those companies’ services, under their own privacy terms. Nothing from them loads on this site.

When you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you choose to include. We use them to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange. You do not have to contact us, but we can’t reply without an address.

Our email is handled by: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States (email forwarding), and Proton AG, Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, Switzerland (mailbox).

We keep emails for as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, and delete them within three years of our last exchange, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and in answering the people who write to us. When you write about a contract, we rely on the steps needed to enter into or perform it.

Who receives data

We share this data only with the providers named above, and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a portable copy. Write to the address above to do so. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France.
